Q : Will EyeDoctorNetwork share or sell
my name and address information?
A : No, we don’t share any of
your information with other companies.
Q : How does a doctor qualify to be
an EyeDoctorNetwork.com member?
A : We accept eye doctors into our
network only after they complete detailed applications and pass our
screening process.
Q : Do doctors pay to be a part of EyeDoctorNetwork?
A : Yes, just as doctors and
businesses pay to be listed on other Web sites and in the phone book.
You can be assured that our members are pre-screened and meet our
membership guidelines. Although we cannot guarantee the quality
of care you may receive from any particular doctor, we strive to make
finding a good eye doctor as easy as possible. We encourage you
to email us if you have any problems with one of the doctors in our
network list.
Q : I'm new to the area. Is
it safe to pick an eye doctor from an Internet listing?
A : We understand that you may be a
little apprehensive about making an appointment with a doctor found
via the Internet. But remember, the doctors we list are hometown
eye-care professionals who have usually been in private practice for
many years. Their success depends on pleasing patients just like
yourself. Feel free to call their office and let them know that
you found them on EyeDoctorNetwork.com and that you would like more
information about their practice.
FOR DOCTORS:
Q : How do I upload a photo?
A : All photos must be in
compressed jpg format. There is a size limit for photos, so
please crop them to minimize the size. We will gladly help if
you have a specific photo or image you'd like to upload. Email
the image that you'd like edited and pasted on your listing to info@eyedoctornetwork.com.
If you currently have a photo on your own website, email the link
and we will capture the image. Some doctors choose to use a
screen-capture of their website mainpage; we can do that for you at
no charge, just send us the full website address and you
preferences/instructions. Last, if you have no way to scan or
upload a good photo, you may mail us an actual photograph and we
will scan it for you. If you want the photo back, please
enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
Q : How can I get my biography
listing to show formatted text?
A : The bio text box on the
subscription information page accepts HTML formatted text.
This is the same formatting as used for webpages. If you
already have a website with a formatted resume or biography, you can
copy the source text from you browser. This can be done
in Internet Explorer by using the menu choice View->Source.
You can also use a standard HTML editor Microsoft Frontpage or
similar to create the formatted text. You may also email us
the text that you would like inserted into your bio and we will
format it for you. Please note that we reserve the right to
edit any text you enter for clarity and brevity.
Q : I signed up and paid, but
don't see my listing?
A : If you signed up just
recently, realize that it may take up to 72 hours for your account
to become active. You can monitor your status by using the
doctor "Logon" at the top of the website; enter your email
and password and view your subscription details. Verify your
zipcode is accurate, as this is the primary way patients find
you. If everything looks good and it's been several days since
you signed up, please email us at info@eyedoctornetwork.com
so that we can get your listing viewable.
